Today is Halloween, and I get to wear my dinosaur costume! Dad helps me put it on. The green fabric feels soft on my arms and legs.

2

I notice the costume has a smell. It smells like plastic and new fabric. The smell is a little strong, but it's not bad—it's just different from my regular clothes.

3

I touch the costume's tail. It feels smooth and a little crinkly. When I move, I can feel the fabric moving with me. The spikes on my back are soft and don't poke me.

4

Dad says, 'You look like an awesome dinosaur!' The costume smells less strong now because I'm getting used to it. My body feels cozy inside the soft fabric.

5

At school, Ms. Garcia says, 'What a great dinosaur!' Other kids want to touch my costume and smell it too. When lots of people are close, the smell gets stronger, but I can take a step back to give myself space.

6

By the end of the day, my dinosaur costume feels like part of me. The smell doesn't bother me anymore because my nose got used to it. I'm a great dinosaur, and wearing my costume makes Halloween special!
